Water Efficiency Calculations in Worcestershire.
The Requirement G2 and Regulation 36
If you are building a new dwelling or forming a dwelling by material change of use in Worcestershire you are required by building regulations Part G to design the appliances to use no more than 125 Litres of water per person per day.
This part of the building regulations states "Reasonable provision must be made by the installation of fitting and fixed appliances that use water efficiently for the prevention of undue consumption of water". This methodology is in support of The Code for Sustainable Homes, May 2009 onwards and the Building Regulations 2000.
- Code for Sustainable Homes (Level 1/2) 120 litres/person/day
- Code for Sustainable Homes (Level 3/4) 105 litres/person/day
- Code for Sustainable Homes (Level 5/6) 80 litres/person/day
TheWorcestershire Council can set their own targets for water consumption - though if you are doing these calculations as part of a Code for Sustainable homes assessment, you may be required to use no less than 80 litres per person, per day.
We can provide same or next day turn around on all Part G Water Calculations, all you need to do is provide us with all of the information for the fittings. We even provide you with an easy to understand checklist to help you know what information is required!
