Building Standards Supporting Guidance Domestic Ventilation 2nd Edition

Sound testing has been in the Scottish building regulations for many years. Up until now it has generally been used to check that non-standard constructions, as built, meet the regulations.

Air tightness testing was first introduced to the Technical Handbooks in 2007 as a means to demonstrate that high levels of air tightness declared at the design stage, were being met at the construction stage in Stirlingshire.

Today takes 2 of our engineers, air testing this enormous modular classroom in Tring, It took 4 fans to test this space and unfortunately resulted in a Fail. Remedial sealing will be required to areas that we have identified as leaking cold air infiltration. #preperationiskey
