Barnby Moor - DECs

Since October 2008, DECs For Public Buildings (DEC) & Advisory Reports have been a legal requirement.

The PENALTY is £500 for failing to display a DEC at all times in a prominent place clearly visible to the public and £1,000 for failing to have possession of a valid advisory report.

In addition to these penalties, it is still necessary to commission the documents - the DEC is valid for 1 year. E2 Consultants provides affordable DECs, we have experienced assessors equipped & qualified to undertake any type of building anywhere in the UK, no matter how complex or diverse the structure is.

Display Energy Certificates & Advisory reports are required for public buildings and those occupied by public authorities that have a total floor area > 1,000m2 (GIA) and provide a public service to a large number of people, e.g. hospitals, schools. A DEC shows the energy performance of a building based on actual energy consumption and is recorded annually over periods up to the last three years.

All E2's Display Energy Certificate (DEC) assessors have a prompt turnaround time.

Today takes 2 of our engineers, air testing this enormous modular classroom in Tring, It took 4 fans to test this space and unfortunately resulted in a Fail. Remedial sealing will be required to areas that we have identified as leaking cold air infiltration. #preperationiskey
