How Is BREEAM Assessed?

What Does BREEAM Stand For?
First published by the Building Reseearch Establishment (BRE) in 1990 covering buildings across Hornsea, BREEAM stands for Building Research Establishment's Enviromental Assement Method.
What Is A BREEAM Rating?
The BREEAM ratings for new, non-domestic buildings in Hornsea are as follows: Pass (standard good practice) for the top 75%, Good (intermediate good practice) for the top 50%. Very Good (advanced good practice) for top 25%. Excellent (best practice) for top 10% and Outstanding innovator) for the top 1%.
